Our Board of Directors

The overall strategic and policy direction of the company is the responsibility of a five member Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is made up of both Executive and Non- Executive Directors with experience in insurance, education, social development, health, health care financing, project management , consultancy , development planning and road safety.

• • Josephine Amoah, the principal promoter and Chief Executive Officer of Insurance Solutions Limited (ISL) is an Executive Director and a member of the Board of Directors of ISLMs. Josephine Amoah is a Chartered Insurer. She is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), and holds a BSc. Degree in Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is a Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative and the Ghana Insurance Institute. She has over 38 years experience in Insurance Practice and Supervision. She was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and the Regional Coordinator for Sub-Saharan African Insurance Supervisors. She has worked as Chief Executive Officer first with Vanguard Assurance Co. Ltd and later with National Insurance Commission.

 

• • Dr. Oppong is a Non-Executive member of the Board of ISL. He is a physician by profession and holds an MB. ChB degree from the University of Ghana and a PhD (Medical Biochemistry) from the University of Leeds, England. He also holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Ghana.He is presently a senior lecturer at the department of chemical pathology of the University of Ghana Medical School. He has considerable local and international experience in clinical work, teaching and research in public health and healthcare finance.

 

• • Ekow Wilson-Asaam is a Non-Executive member of the Board. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Planners and holds a BSc. Degree in Development Planning from the University of Science & Technology, Kumasi. He is a Road Safety Consultant and presently, the Executive Director of TransConsult Limited (Transportation and Road Safety Consultants). He has considerable post-qualification local and international training and experience in Road Safety. He was the Road Safety Officer of the Ministry of Transport & Communications (MOTC) from 1991 during which period he coordinated the implementation of the World Bank-financed Ghana Road Safety Project under the Transport Rehabilitation Project (TRP).

 

• Mrs Victoria Haizel O’Sullivan is an executive member of the board. She has a degree in business management and information technology. With this qualification, she acquired skills which gave her a good understanding of the structure of organisations, how they function and how information technology can be used to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability through continuous process improvement.She worked with renowned companies like Enterprise Insurance Ghana, London Cyrenians UK, Chubb insurance Europe and Senator group UK. She then went on set up her company which specialised in Hair replacement products for various clients including cancer patients who experienced hair loss during their treatment.Further to that she gained a qualification in project management Prince 2 and acquired a chartered status in Insurance from the chartered insurance institute in England. She has served as a Director at Insurance Solutions Limited since its inception and has influenced issues pertaining to risk management and strategic planning. She has also been pivotal in the initiation of change and other strategic decisions

Our Management / Technical Team

ISL is headed by Ms Josephine Amoah (BSc, ACII , FGII) a chartered insurer with 31 years of experience in Insurance; 22 years of it as an Insurance Executive and 8 years as Commissioner of Insurance in charge of regulation and supervision of Insurance business in Ghana.

Our technical team is made up of professionally qualified Insurance personnel who are well rounded in Insurance Practice with a combined experience of over 55 years in Insurance Underwriting and Claims, Insurance Supervision and Insurance Broking.

Our In-depth knowledge of the Ghanaian Insurance market, especially the providers and products, places us in a unique position to help our clients to obtain maximum benefit from their insurances.
